Pearce Leatherworks

I was commissioned by a writer friend of mine to photograph an article for the Independent Newspaper documenting the Pearce Leatherworkers. This is an abandoned Art Deco Leatherworkers factory which used to be one of the leading leather producers in the country if not the world, yet now due to the economy and various other issues it is not closed down and lays abandoned. Photographing this building was an interesting project and bought be back to my routes of photography where I would document derelict buildings however this time I was doing it for a client and had permission to access the building:
