Fuji X-Pro1 pushing its low ligh capabilities

The Fuji X-Pro1 is an impressive piece of kit but it has its drawbacks, the main one being the focussing which is both sluggish and sometimes completely impossible. However one thing this camera does which other APS-C sensor cameras dont seem to is be able to perform at high ISO levels I have only seen out of DSLRs. While in Varanasi we visited the Ganges to watch the river blessing ceremony and it was the perfect opportunity to test the low light capabilities. So I cranked up the ISO to 2500 and shot this portrait of a boat Wallah (driver). This image was shot with the majority of the ambient light behind the subject so the actual lighting on the mans face was minimal, I managed to draw out an impressive amount of detail in post production fairly easily and the quality although not clean is a useable image in photojournalistic terms:
